Election postponed

The government has announced a programme of local government reorganisation and devolution in England.

Isle of Wight Council has asked to be part of the first phase of reorganisation. In order to facilitate this process, the May 2025 elections have been postponed while it is completed. The election for your new unitary council will likely be held on 7 May 2026.
